Grove hosts Cup drivers
Nextel Cup star Kasey Kahne will go to the dirt tonight, when Williams Grove Speedway hosts the 358/United Racing Company Shootout to benefit Kasey Kahne's foundation.
Kasey Kahne and Dave Blaney will run 360 Sprint Cars and compete with the top 20 in the URC points and the top 20 in the 358 Sprint Car points from the Grove. Fred Rahmer is also expected to compete, as is Harrisburg's Chad Layton and Lucas Wolfe. Greg Hodnett also has expressed interest.
Kasey Kahne and Blaney will have an autograph session for 150 selected people from 4-4:40 p.m. There will be a question and answer session from 5:30 to 5:50 p.m. Hot laps will begin at 6:30 p.m. and time trials at 7.
Tickets are $20. Students (12-17) get in for $15, and kids (6-11) for $5. Children 5 and under are free.
All proceeds will benefit the foundation, which supports disadvantaged youth and chronically ill children and their families.
